Meet Caroline
A cherished grandmother who impacted the lives of her grandchildren beyond measure. A single mother who raised four children amidst great hardship. An adored elementary school teacher/principal whose students cherished her for a lifetime. A life-long learner who loved nature, her family and her life in rural Appalachia. Meet Caroline . . . she was all of this and so much more.
My name is Julie, and it’s from memories of this extraordinary woman - my grandmother - that I created a product line filled with reminders of her life. "Gram" as we called her loved to write notes and letters . . . that's why Forever Caroline focuses on paper goods. I want to share with others all that my grandmother taught me about the power of handwritten notes. Especially the joy a handwritten note can bring to not just the recipient, but also to the sender. And the opportunity we have to save - and cherish - handwritten notes for a lifetime.
Forever Caroline also honors my grandmother's Appalachian heritage by showcasing the work of brilliant artists from the region. Artists with different styles, all creating images that are reminiscent of my grandmother, her lifestyle, her love for nature, and the beauty of the region where she lived her life. And it brings me great joy to return to the artists a portion of each sale featuring their artwork.
More than 30 years after the loss of my grandmother, our family continues to cherish so many cards, letters, and recipe cards created with her HANDWRITING. The delight those bring . . . the memories they evoke . . . that’s the joy we hope others will discover through Forever Caroline.
