An award-winning artist from Pittsburgh (the largest city in Appalachia!), Cindy will tell you that her previous work as a pediatric nurse enhanced her ability to connect with nonverbal patients, a skill she now employs in portraying animals through their expressive eyes. In other words, I wasn't imagining that the eyes in her work were special. . . they are! Captivated and inspired by the eyes of her subjects, Cindy strives to invoke the colors, expression and intelligence reflected in them. Her realistic, sometimes "quirky," but always miraculous subjects from anywhere on the planet, have been featured in international exhibits, national exhibits and publications.
